Check your email regularly. Once you are informed that you are shortlisted for the scholarship, you have to start another round of preparation. Follow all the important notes in the email so you will not screw up the interview.

You may consider staying at Penang one day before the interview if your state is far from Penang.

The Interview

First, you need to register at the counter with all your documents prepared. The dress code is formal wear.

Everyone will be required to check the documents thoroughly with the crew. Once the process is done, you will be required to wait for the calling for your interview. There are several rooms for interviews. Each room will have 2 interviewers, normally one man and one lady.

The interviewers in the respective selected field will interview respective candidates. (E.g. If you choose Computer Science as your course, the experts in the technology area will give you the interview.)

The waiting process will somehow make you nervous. This is because you are not sure will you be called in the next round. But remember, stay calm is the key to ace the interview because you should be confident to express your idea in the interview.

When it’s my turn, I was led by the crew and requested to sit on the chair outside the room. I would enter the room after the candidate inside came out. But I would still wait for calling even though that candidate came out. After several minutes, the crew called me in. I guessed the interviewers were looking at my profile.

Remember to knock the door and enter the room. Besides, put a genuine smile on your face. That will give the interviewers a great first impression.

Possible Questions

  • Introduce yourself
  • What is your greatest strength?
  • Do you have any leadership experience?
  • Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
  • Can you share something related to (your course)

Remember to prepare at least 1 question to ask the interviewer(s), because this shows you have done your preparation.

I hope this article will pave your way to apply for PFF Scholarship. Good Luck!
